I'm so irritated with myself!

When I talked to Jeff last week and invited him to go to Snow Summit with us for my birthday he said he'd "love to". Sweet. Totally excited all week. One, to go snowboarding again, two, that Jeff was going to go with us! I called him tonight to say hi, and see how things were going and to iron out some details for Saturday. We chat for a bit and I bring up Saturday and he says he has something to tell me. I say, "oh no, you're cancelling on me!!!", and he said that he had some other news as well. My heart sank and my head got hot. I replied, "you got back with your ex". He said he had. He said that we always did have the worst timing. I'm bummed. For some stupid reason, I thought this time might be different with him.
